A lot of customers are, understandably, extremely excited about these models, and have been quite persistent in asking our team here at Carl Black Orlando: what sets the HUMMER EV pickup and HUMMER EV SUV apart?
The primary differences between the HUMMER EV SUT and HUMMER EV SUV are in size and body type, factors which also result in some differences in capability. The 2022 HUMMER EV SUT features a truck bed, while the 2024 HUMMER EV SUV is outfitted with an enclosed cabin in back. This difference results in the SUT being about 20 inches longer than the SUV, with a 9-inch longer wheelbase and longer rear overhang. These length differences affect performance and maneuvering capabilities, both on-road and off, to varying degrees.

Why does the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV have a shorter range and less horsepower than the pickup?
The size differences between the HUMMER EV SUV and SUT are also the reason for the differences in range and horsepower. The shorter wheelbase of the SUV results in its having a smaller battery, which in turn results in a 300-mile electric range, as opposed to the 350-mile capability of the truck. In the same vein, the SUV makes less (but still massive) horsepower, churning out 830 hp while the SUT makes a full 1,000.
