Super Cruise can assist with automatic lane changes

Driving a GMC vehicle equipped with Super Cruise™ is experiencing the future of hands-free driving technology. Carl Black Orlando in Orlando, FL, is proud to offer GMC models that include this groundbreaking feature, enabling drivers to take hands-free control on compatible highways. Among its many advanced capabilities, GMC Super Cruise can assist with automatic lane changes. This blog will teach you how to use GMC Super Cruise to change lanes.

Step-by-step guide to changing lanes with GMC Super Cruise

1. Activate Adaptive Cruise Control

Before using Super Cruise, turn on Adaptive Cruise Control. This provides the foundation for the hands-free features of Super Cruise to operate.

2. Check for the Super Cruise icon

Look for the steering wheel icon on your dashboard. This indicator confirms that Super Cruise is available where you are driving. If the icon is not lit, the system may not be supported on the current road.

3. Use steering wheel buttons to turn on Super Cruise

To turn on Super Cruise, press the appropriate steering wheel button. The system will signal the lane change, monitor traffic conditions, and smoothly transition into the desired lane—all hands-free!

4. The vehicle will automatically complete lane changes

Super Cruise will automatically change lanes as needed. The system can detect vehicles in the lane next to yours and change lanes when appropriate.
