Updated 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Design Details
Inside the expanded 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe passengers will ride comfortably thanks to the 34.9 inches of legroom in the third row and the 66 percent increase in rear cargo space. Previous Tahoe models offered a generous 15.3 cubic feet of space behind the third row. Now for the 2021 model year, the Tahoe gained an extra 10.2 cubic feet in its trunk, expanding the cargo area to a spacious 25.5 cubic feet. Not only did the Tahoe gain standard cargo space, but now when both rear rows of seating are folded down drivers can make use of 122.9 cubic feet of space, compared to last year’s 94.7 cubic feet. The ability to expand the overall size and space in the 2021 Tahoe is thanks to the switch over to an independent rear suspension, which allowed for a lower rear floor.
For the 2021 model year, the Tahoe is offering an optional 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine, which will generate 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque on the road. The 2021 Tahoe also offers a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine and an available 6.2-liter V8 engine.
The Chevy Tahoe now comes standard with big technology throughout the cabin. The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard in even the base trim level and an optional 8-inch digital display and an available 15-inch head-up display take the driver’s experience behind the wheel even further. 12.6-inch rear-seat entertainment displays are also available to help keep rear passengers entertained while out on the road.
