How much bigger is the 2019 Silverado bed compared to the 2018 Silverado bed?
The truck bed volume for the Silverado has increased significantly in 2019 bringing the short and standard box up by 10 cubic feet each. While the Silverado Long Box was increased by 14 cubic feet from the previous year.

How does the 2019 Silverado Durabed stack up to the 2019 Ford F-150 and the 2019 Ram 1500?
The new Durabed leads the industry in many categories, including cargo box space. The Silverado’s short-box offers 63 cubic feet of volume up to 20% more than Ford or Ram’s equivalent short-box.
You might ask.. how did they do that?
Well, it was made possible by increasing the width of the Silverado’s truck bed floor by nearly 7 inches (6.75″ to be exact). To accomplish this, a multiple manufacturing process was used that stamps the inner bed and the wheel wells as two separate pieces. Chevy increased the volume for the truck buyers that truly use their trucks. This allows for Chevy owners to have a better hauling experience, getting more in one trip than the competition. Now, making a run for tools or material to the job site just got easier.
