Available technology for the 2018 Sierra offers drivers the ability to connect to WiFi in their truck, utilize powerful and intuitive voice control options, and also offers a whole variety of infotainment options-all available right at your fingertips. The full-color 8” touchscreen with navigation capabilities that lets you make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music directly from your Sierra’s touchscreen panel. The touchscreen also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, access to phone, maps, and weather, Bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to download select in-vehicle apps through the shop. Bose premium audio is available to create an incredible sound experience onboard while you enjoy your ride. Also available is a wireless charging pad for all of your devices. While the vehicle is running, you can charge your devices without the need for any cords so you won’t run low on battery on the go.

The My GMC mobile app helps you to access all of Sierra’s features directly from your mobile device. The My GMC app lets you locate your vehicle, remotely start your engine, check your fuel levels and oil life, and send destinations to your vehicle with installed OnStar navigation services. Driver alert technology features give drivers the confidence they need to drive safely on the road. Features like the lane departure warning system and forward collision alert let drivers know when their vehicles stray from their lane or are following a vehicle to closely or are in a situation where a forward collision may be imminent. Another safety feature that helps protect drivers is the safety alert seat that warns drivers of potential traffic danger using vibrations and pulses in specific directions in the driver’s seat cushion. The seat will vibrate on both sides if a potential hazard is in the front or back of the vehicle. Design

The design of the 2018 GMC Sierra is at the top of its class. Its stylish design not only looks great, but it has been designed to help it work efficiently as well. With almost two-thirds of the Sierra pickup truck cab body being composed of high-strength steel, this heavy-duty pickup truck is extremely strong. This steel construction contributes to a quiet cabin ride. A high-strength steel body also makes up the fully boxed frame rails and major frame cross-members. The 2018 GMC Sierra offers a hood scoop that not only brings a more powerful and aggressive look to the exterior; it also helps provide cooler induction air temperatures to allow for maximum horsepower. The diesel engine provides 445 horsepower and 910 LB-ft of torque. For those who prefer gasoline, the Sierra HD comes standard with the powerful and efficient 360 horsepower Vortec 6.0L V-8. This standard Vortec engine includes variable valve timing that optimizes high-end power and low-end torque and is paired with a 6-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission to deliver 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft or torque. The efficient fuel system of the 2018 Chevy Sierra 2500 is combined with acoustic treated rocker covers that contribute to making this pickup have the quietest idling Duramax diesel engine that has ever been offered in a GMC Sierra.
