As for features the Impala LS comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, cloth or leatherette upholstery, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry and start, three USB ports, Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen and smartphone connectivity, and a rearview camera all for your safety, entertainment, and convenience needs.

Performance Icon

The 2018 Chevy Impala offers a fairly high level of performance for a vehicle of its price range and elegant style. The 2018 Chevy Impala offers two engine choices that can be adequately nicknamed the “everyday” engine and the “zealot” engine.

The “everyday” engine is mechanically known as an ECOTEC® 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder DI engine. This engine offers a fairly substantial 197 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, it has auto start/stop technology in order to save on fuel usage, as well as variable valve timing in order to offer a higher level of performance at a higher RPM. Even though it can be considered an everyday option when compared to the “zealot” engine, this is still far better than you can expect from any other average engine option for your everyday commuter.

The top level engine is a 3.6L DOHC V6 DI engine which offers an extremely impressive 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. This is about a third more than the everyday engine. This engine also offers VVT to spike the performance level to new heights.

The transmission on any 2018 Chevy Impala is a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the drive is always a front wheel drive. The exhaust differs depending on your trim between single-outlet, dual-outlet, or dual outlet with bright tip exhaust.

Overall, when compared with the price point and the average output of other vehicles in its body class, the 2018 Chevy Impala does well for itself when it comes to performance, and will never leave you disappointed.
